It's What I Do: A Photographer's Life of Love and War

Read It's What I Do: A Photographer's Life of Love and War Online"A brutally real and unrelentingly raw memoir."--Kirkus (starred review)

War photographer Lynsey Addario’s memoir It’s What I Do is the story of how the relentless pursuit of truth, in virtually every major theater of war in the twenty-first century, has shaped her life. What she does, with clarity, beauty, and candor, is to document, often in their most extreme moments, the complex lives of others. It’s her work, but it’s much more than that: it’s her singular calling.

Lynsey Addario was just finding her way as a young photographer when September 11 changed the world. One of the few photojournalists with experience in Afghanistan, she gets the call to return and cover the American invasion. She makes a decision she would often find herself making—not to stay home, not to lead a quiet or predictable life, but to set out across the world, face the chaos of crisis, and make a name for herself.

Addario finds a way to travel with a purpose. She photographs the Afghan people before and after the Taliban reign, the civilian casualties and misunderstood insurgents of the Iraq War, as well as the burned villages and countless dead in Darfur. She exposes a culture of violence against women in the Congo and tells the riveting story of her headline-making kidnapping by pro-Qaddafi forces in the Libyan civil war.

Addario takes bravery for granted but she is not fearless. She uses her fear and it creates empathy; it is that feeling, that empathy, that is essential to her work. We see this clearly on display as she interviews rape victims in the Congo, or photographs a fallen soldier with whom she had been embedded in Iraq, or documents the tragic lives of starving Somali children. Lynsey takes us there and we begin to understand how getting to the hard truth trumps fear.

As a woman photojournalist determined to be taken as seriously as her male peers, Addario fights her way into a boys’ club of a profession. Rather than choose between her personal life and her career, Addario learns to strike a necessary balance. In the man who will become her husband, she finds at last a real love to complement her work, not take away from it, and as a new mother, she gains an all the more intensely personal understanding of the fragility of life.

Watching uprisings unfold and people fight to the death for their freedom, Addario understands she is documenting not only news but also the fate of society. It’s What I Do is more than just a snapshot of life on the front lines; it is witness to the human cost of war.

This book was an incredible journey and an emotional roller coaster. Once I started I could not put it down and finished it two days. Lynsey Addario is someone I definitely look up to and I am glad she wrote her story for all to read.

In 1983, the world was introduced to He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. What followed was a cultural sensation that changed the landscape of children's entertainment forever! Join Mattel and Dark Horse in this comprehensive retrospective chronicling He-Man's decades-long epic journey from toy, to television, to film, to a true pop culture phenomenon!

The Art of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (2015) was published by Dark Horse Comics in collaboration with The Power and Honor Foundation. It features copy by Tim Seeley, Steve Seeley, and James Eatock. With over 300 color pages, this is quite a book: it covers nearly 35 years, from the seminal 1980 toy concepts all the way up through DC’s current run of comics and beyond.

As a kid, I watched and followed He-Man with enthusiam. That was many years ago and the only characters I could remember today are He-Man and Skeletor. Going through this book is therefore a nostalgic experience. Not just that, it also introduces me to a world of MOTU that I never knew.

The Art of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe is an artbook that looks at the art and design for the animation, comics and toys. Instead of photos of toys and their packaging boxes, you'll be looking at the character designs and packaging art.

There are interviews with many of the creators, such as with Emiliano Santalucia, Joshua Van Pelt and James Eatock, founders of the Power and the Honor Foundation, writer of many MOTU minicomics Steven Grant, illustrator and animator Larry Houston, writer Paul Dini, illustrator Earl Norem, concept artist William Stout, designer David Wolfram and many more. It's interesting to find out how the toys, comics and animation are made, the conceptualisation that went behind, and the creative process used to maintain the series.

Data and Goliath: The Hidden Battles to Collect Your Data and Control Your World

Read Data and Goliath: The Hidden Battles to Collect Your Data and Control Your World OnlineYou are under surveillance right now.

Your cell phone provider tracks your location and knows who’s with you. Your online and in-store purchasing patterns are recorded, and reveal if you're unemployed, sick, or pregnant. Your e-mails and texts expose your intimate and casual friends. Google knows what you’re thinking because it saves your private searches. Facebook can determine your sexual orientation without you ever mentioning it.

The powers that surveil us do more than simply store this information. Corporations use surveillance to manipulate not only the news articles and advertisements we each see, but also the prices we’re offered. Governments use surveillance to discriminate, censor, chill free speech, and put people in danger worldwide. And both sides share this information with each other or, even worse, lose it to cybercriminals in huge data breaches.

Much of this is voluntary: we cooperate with corporate surveillance because it promises us convenience, and we submit to government surveillance because it promises us protection. The result is a mass surveillance society of our own making. But have we given up more than we’ve gained? In Data and Goliath, security expert Bruce Schneier offers another path, one that values both security and privacy. He shows us exactly what we can do to reform our government surveillance programs and shake up surveillance-based business models, while also providing tips for you to protect your privacy every day. You'll never look at your phone, your computer, your credit cards, or even your car in the same way again.

Bruce Schneier (disclosure: a friend and occasional colleague) has written an essential book for our spy-happy times. He's a serious technologist who explains, in human terms, the meaning and threat of mass surveillance.

The most important part of this book, however (disclosure: I received an advance copy from his publisher), is his prescription for what we need to do. Surveillance-enabling technology isn't going away. It's getting more prevalent, and more hidden from view. And we can't sit back and expect the surveillance state to curb itself. So we need to change our norms on how we use it, but even more, we need to change our laws and rules.

Should be required reading in the internet age-- I am planning on giving copies to friends.

Why Information Grows: The Evolution of Order, from Atoms to Economies

What is economic growth? And why, historically, has it occurred in only a few places? Previous efforts to answer these questions have focused on institutions, geography, finances, and psychology. But according to MIT's antidisciplinarian César Hidalgo, understanding the nature of economic growth demands transcending the social sciences and including the natural sciences of information, networks, and complexity. To understand the growth of economies, Hidalgo argues, we first need to understand the growth of order.

At first glance, the universe seems hostile to order. Thermodynamics dictates that over time, order--or information--will disappear. Whispers vanish in the wind just like the beauty of swirling cigarette smoke collapses into disorderly clouds. But thermodynamics also has loopholes that promote the growth of information in pockets. Our cities are pockets where information grows, but they are not all the same. For every Silicon Valley, Tokyo, and Paris, there are dozens of places with economies that accomplish little more than pulling rocks off the ground. So, why does the US economy outstrip Brazil's, and Brazil's that of Chad? Why did the technology corridor along Boston's Route 128 languish while Silicon Valley blossomed? In each case, the key is how people, firms, and the networks they form make use of information.

Seen from Hidalgo's vantage, economies become distributed computers, made of networks of people, and the problem of economic development becomes the problem of making these computers more powerful. By uncovering the mechanisms that enable the growth of information in nature and society, Why Information Grows lays bear the origins of physical order and economic growth. Situated at the nexus of information theory, physics, sociology, and economics, this book propounds a new theory of how economies can do, not just more, but more interesting things.

The diverse set of perspectives that César Hidalgo brings to the eternal question of growth—from economic development theories to big data mining engines to elegantly crafted visualizations—underlies the central thesis of Why Information Grows: diversity. Including many diverse perspectives will ultimately create maximum complexity and chaos, which ultimately creates growth. Hidalgo makes a powerful case for the importance of creativity and imagination in our society's ability to make information—and economies—grow.

=====>> CLICK HERE TO READ BOOK ONLINE <<=====

This beautifully written and carefully researched book may set in motion a paradigm shift in economic thinking. Blending deep theory with detailed data, Hidalgo demonstrates that countries grow, firms prosper, and individuals thrive when they enmesh themselves in diverse, talented networks that produce complex physical order, i.e. information. Why do economies grow? Because information does.

This is a wonderful book. The way it introduces information and entropy is refreshing and clear. I don't think I ever read such an intuitive explanation of entropy, (at least a one that goes beyond entropy as disorder).

You aspire to lead with greater impact. The problem is you’re busy executing on today’s demands. You know you have to carve out time from your day job to build your leadership skills, but it’s easy to let immediate problems and old mind-sets get in the way. Herminia Ibarra—an expert on professional leadership and development and a renowned professor at INSEAD, a leading international business school—shows how managers and executives at all levels can step up to leadership by making small but crucial changes in their jobs, their networks, and themselves. In Act Like a Leader, Think Like a Leader, she offers advice to help you:

• Redefine your job in order to make more strategic contributions
• Diversify your network so that you connect to, and learn from, a bigger range of stakeholders
• Become more playful with your self-concept, allowing your familiar—and possibly outdated—leadership style to evolve

Ibarra turns the usual “think first and then act” philosophy on its head by arguing that doing these three things will help you learn through action and will increase what she calls your outsight—the valuable external perspective you gain from direct experiences and experimentation. As opposed to insight, outsight will then help change the way you think as a leader: about what kind of work is important; how you should invest your time; why and which relationships matter in informing and supporting your leadership; and, ultimately, who you want to become.

Packed with self-assessments and practical advice to help define your most pressing leadership challenges, this book will help you devise a plan of action to become a better leader and move your career to the next level. It’s time to learn by doing.

Becoming Steve Jobs: The Evolution of a Reckless Upstart into a Visionary Leader

There have been many books—on a large and small scale—about Steve Jobs, one of the most famous CEOs in history. But this book is different from all the others.

Becoming Steve Jobs takes on and breaks down the existing myth and stereotypes about Steve Jobs. The conventional, one-dimensional view of Jobs is that he was half-genius, half-jerk from youth, an irascible and selfish leader who slighted friends and family alike. Becoming Steve Jobs answers the central question about the life and career of the Apple cofounder and CEO: How did a young man so reckless and arrogant that he was exiled from the company he founded become the most effective visionary business leader of our time, ultimately transforming the daily life of billions of people?

Drawing on incredible and sometimes exclusive access, Schlender and Tetzeli tell a different story of a real human being who wrestled with his failings and learned to maximize his strengths over time. Their rich, compelling narrative is filled with stories never told before from the people who knew Jobs best, and who decided to open up to the authors, including his family, former inner circle executives, and top people at Apple, Pixar and Disney, most notably Tim Cook, Jony Ive, Eddy Cue, Ed Catmull, John Lasseter, Robert Iger and many others. In addition, Brent knew Jobs personally for 25 years and draws upon his many interviews with him, on and off the record, in writing the book. He and Rick humanize the man and explain, rather than simply describe, his behavior. Along the way, the book provides rich context about the technology revolution we all have lived through, and the ways in which Jobs changed our world.

Schlender and Tetzeli make clear that Jobs's astounding success at Apple was far more complicated than simply picking the right products: he became more patient, he learned to trust his inner circle, and discovered the importance of growing the company incrementally rather than only shooting for dazzling game-changing products.

A rich and revealing account that will change the way we view Jobs, Becoming Steve Jobs shows us how one of the most colorful and compelling figures of our times was able to combine his unchanging, relentless passion with a more mature management style to create one of the most valuable and beloved companies on the planet.

I've read quite a few bio's of Steve Jobs & Bill Gates. This one, focused on Jobs of course, is the best and by far the least prejudicial of any I've come across. It sheds new light to the uninitiated on the relationships between Jobs and Gates and their respective companies. In my personal opinion this book should be recommended reading for all Apple new-hires. I rate it a 4.99 on a 5 point scale.

While the book was not bad, it also reads like Apple's PR department had a heavy hand in it (which, I am sure they didn't - but it still reads that way). There's far too much apology for Steve's behaviour as a human being, which let's face it, was not exemplary. He might have been in charge of a company that makes products people want to buy - but he was also complex and, in many ways, unkind person, who put himself first in nearly all occasions. This book goes out of it's way to make excuses for that or gloss over it.

It's still a solid, well written book that's a compelling read - but it feels less honest or maybe perhaps more one-sided than other, recent books on the same topic.

Do Over: Rescue Monday, Reinvent Your Work, and Never Get Stuck

Read Do Over: Rescue Monday, Reinvent Your Work, and Never Get Stuck OnlineIt took me sixteen years to write this book. That breaks down to a brisk twelve words per day. But it wasn’t the writing that took so long. . . . It was the working.

I had to work at big companies and small companies. I had to get hired and fired several times. I had to find my dream job, then walk away from it. But after all that, I can now say the following with absolute certainty:

You already have everything you need for an amazing career. In fact, you’ve had it since day one.

Read Do Over: Rescue Monday, Reinvent Your Work, and Never Get Stuck book online now. You also can download other books, magazine and also comics. Get online Do Over: Rescue Monday, Reinvent Your Work, and Never Get Stuck today.

Starting on the first day you got paid to scoop ice cream or restock shelves, you’ve had the chance to develop the four elements all great careers have in common: relationships, skills, character, and hustle. You already have each of those, to one degree or another.

Now it’s time to amplify them and apply them in a new way, creating a Career Savings Account™. This unique approach will give you the power to call a Do Over—whether you’re twenty-two, forty-two, or sixty-two. You’ll have the resources to reinvent your work and get unstuck. You’ll even rescue your Mondays as you discover how to work toward the job you’ve always wanted!

Just as a bank account protects you during a financial crunch, a Career Savings Account™ protects you during a career crunch. You need a CSA because you’ll eventually face at least one of these major transitions:

• You will hit a Career Ceiling and get stuck, requiring sharp skills to free yourself.
• You will experience a Career Bump and unexpectedly lose your job, requiring strong relationships to survive.
• You will make a Career Jump to a new role, requiring solid character to push through uncertainty and chaos.
• You will get a surprise Career Opportunity, requiring dedicated hustle to take advantage of it.
It took me sixteen years to figure out how to call a Do Over on my career. Please don’t wait sixteen more seconds before starting yours.

====>> CLICK HERE TO READ BOOK ONLINE <<=====

The book to read before you ever need to find a job, Do Over is chock full of practical ways to prepare for finding oneself jobless. I got about 25 percent through this book before realizing that this is a book to read with pen and notebook in hand to take notes, write a to do list, and do some of the practical exercises author Jon Acuff recommends. Don't make the same mistake: Start this book with a notebook in hand and prepare to change your attitude and think through the resources and people you can cultivate and build upon as you build or rebuild a career. I need to reread the first quarter and make notes to go with my response to the last 3/4's of the book.

One thing that distinguishes this book is that it is not just a book of good advice (e.g. build relationships), but a practical book with a workable plan that you can put into practice to carry out the suggestions in the book. I also felt challenged to invest more in my current job and use it to grow and develop. I would recommend this book to someone looking for a job, but even more to someone who has a job, and wants to grow in ways that will impact and give flexibility and growth to their careers.

An excellent book on careers and personal development. It is funny, witty, and very useful. An enjoyable read, indeed.

Future Crimes: Everything Is Connected, Everyone Is Vulnerable and What We Can Do About It

Read Future Crimes: Everything Is Connected, Everyone Is Vulnerable and What We Can Do About It OnlineOne of the world’s leading authorities on global security, Marc Goodman takes readers deep into the digital underground to expose the alarming ways criminals, corporations, and even countries are using new and emerging technologies against you—and how this makes everyone more vulnerable than ever imagined.

Technological advances have benefited our world in immeasurable ways, but there is an ominous flip side: our technology can be turned against us. Hackers can activate baby monitors to spy on families, thieves are analyzing social media posts to plot home invasions, and stalkers are exploiting the GPS on smart phones to track their victims’ every move. We all know today’s criminals can steal identities, drain online bank accounts, and wipe out computer servers, but that’s just the beginning. To date, no computer has been created that could not be hacked—a sobering fact given our radical dependence on these machines for everything from our nation’s power grid to air traffic control to financial services.

Yet, as ubiquitous as technology seems today, just over the horizon is a tidal wave of scientific progress that will leave our heads spinning. If today’s Internet is the size of a golf ball, tomorrow’s will be the size of the sun. Welcome to the Internet of Things, a living, breathing, global information grid where every physical object will be online. But with greater connections come greater risks. Implantable medical devices such as pacemakers can be hacked to deliver a lethal jolt of electricity and a car’s brakes can be disabled at high speed from miles away. Meanwhile, 3-D printers can produce AK-47s, bioterrorists can download the recipe for Spanish flu, and cartels are using fleets of drones to ferry drugs across borders.

With explosive insights based upon a career in law enforcement and counterterrorism, Marc Goodman takes readers on a vivid journey through the darkest recesses of the Internet. Reading like science fiction, but based in science fact, Future Crimes explores how bad actors are primed to hijack the technologies of tomorrow, including robotics, synthetic biology, nanotechnology, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence. These fields hold the power to create a world of unprecedented abundance and prosperity. But the technological bedrock upon which we are building our common future is deeply unstable and, like a house of cards, can come crashing down at any moment.

A good book with a wealth of information that should be read by both the public and especially policy leaders. My one major complaint was that it was very redundant, making the same points - we are increasingly vulnerable to cyber attacks at many levels and need to be prepared for, and mitigate against such attacks - over and over again. Could have shaved off at least 50 pages of text by saying it only once or twice.

This is a fantastic book, whether you are a computer professional or just interested in cyber security. It will make you think, and probably scare the crap out of you.

The Opposite of Spoiled: Raising Kids Who Are Grounded, Generous, and Smart About Money

In the spirit of Wendy Mogel’s The Blessing of a Skinned Knee and Po Bronson and Ashley Merryman’s Nurture Shock, New York Times “Your Money” columnist Ron Lieber delivers a taboo-shattering manifesto that explains how talking openly to children about money can help parents raise modest, patient, grounded young adults who are financially wise beyond their years.

For Ron Lieber, a personal finance columnist and father, good parenting means talking about money with our kids. Children are hyper-aware of money, and they have scores of questions about its nuances. But when parents shy away from the topic, they lose a tremendous opportunity—not just to model the basic financial behaviors that are increasingly important for young adults but also to imprint lessons about what the family truly values.

Written in a warm, accessible voice, grounded in real-world experience and stories from families with a range of incomes, The Opposite of Spoiled is both a practical guidebook and a values-based philosophy. The foundation of the book is a detailed blueprint for the best ways to handle the basics: the tooth fairy, allowance, chores, charity, saving, birthdays, holidays, cell phones, checking accounts, clothing, cars, part-time jobs, and college tuition. It identifies a set of traits and virtues that embody the opposite of spoiled, and shares how to embrace the topic of money to help parents raise kids who are more generous and less materialistic.

But The Opposite of Spoiled is also a promise to our kids that we will make them better with money than we are. It is for all of the parents who know that honest conversations about money with their curious children can help them become more patient and prudent, but who don’t know how and when to start.

The Opposite of Spoiled is a thoughtful, and often inspiring, book that also delivers dozens of smart, practical tips for turning conversations about money into lessons about living. If you’ve got kids, want kids -- or heck, have been a kid -- read this book.

I started reading this book and cannot put it down. . . . I don’t know anyone who doesn’t want to raise their kids to have curiosity, patience, thrift, modesty, generosity, perseverance, and perspective. A godsend of a book.

He argues for an end to our outmoded industrial educational system and proposes a highly personalized, organic approach that draws on today’s unprecedented technological and professional resources to engage all students, develop their love of learning, and enable them to face the real challenges of the twenty-first century. Our Kids: The American Dream in Crisis

A groundbreaking examination of the growing inequality gap from the bestselling author of Bowling Alone: why fewer Americans today have the opportunity for upward mobility.

It’s the American dream: get a good education, work hard, buy a house, and achieve prosperity and success. This is the America we believe in a nation of opportunity, constrained only by ability and effort. But during the last twenty-five years we have seen a disturbing “opportunity gap” emerge. Americans have always believed in equality of opportunity, the idea that all kids, regardless of their family background, should have a decent chance to improve their lot in life. Now, this central tenet of the American dream seems no longer true or at the least, much less true than it was.

Robert Putnam—about whom The Economist said, “his scholarship is wide-ranging, his intelligence luminous, his tone modest, his prose unpretentious and frequently funny”—offers a personal but also authoritative look at this new American crisis. Putnam begins with his high school class of 1959 in Port Clinton, Ohio. By and large the vast majority of those students—“our kids”—went on to lives better than those of their parents. But their children and grandchildren have had harder lives amid diminishing prospects. Putnam tells the tale of lessening opportunity through poignant life stories of rich and poor kids from cities and suburbs across the country, drawing on a formidable body of research done especially for this book.

"Our Kids: The American Dream in Crisis" may be the most effective and compelling analysis of American inequality to date. While Piketty's "Capital" was (let's face it) largely a coffee table book that few read beyond the introduction, "Our Kids" is a highly readable and moving narrative. The book does include numbers, charts and graphs, but it combines them with real stories about real people in a way that puts you in direct touch with inequality and what it means for our children.

=====>> CLICK HERE TO READ BOOK ONLINE <<=====

It's very important to understand that the problem is going to get worse. Technology, especially in areas like robotics and artificial intelligence, is advancing rapidly, and this is going to lead to the disappearance of more and more jobs, especially for those with lower education levels. This may be one of the biggest challenges we face going forward. I also suggest reading The Lights in the Tunnel: Automation, Accelerating Technology and the Economy of the Future which focuses specifically on this issue.

"Our Kids" is a must-read book that goes beyond the numbers. It takes you inside the American social fabric and lets you see what inequality and poverty really mean for real people--and what it portents for the future of America if we don't address the problem.

From Academy Award–winning producer Brian Grazer and acclaimed business journalist Charles Fishman comes the New York Times bestselling, brilliantly entertaining peek into the weekly “curiosity conversations” that have inspired Grazer to create some of America’s favorite and iconic movies and television shows from 24 to A Beautiful Mind.

For decades, film and TV producer Brian Grazer has scheduled a weekly “curiosity conversation” with an accomplished stranger. From scientists to spies, and adventurers to business leaders, Grazer has met with anyone willing to answer his questions for a few hours. These informal discussions sparked the creative inspiration behind many of Grazer’s movies and TV shows, including Splash, 24, A Beautiful Mind, Apollo 13, Arrested Development, 8 Mile, J. Edgar, Empire, and many others.

A Curious Mind is a brilliantly entertaining, fascinating, and inspiring homage to the power of inquisitiveness and the ways in which it deepens and improves us. Whether you’re looking to improve your management style at work or you want to become a better romantic partner, this book and its lessons on the power of curiosity can change your life.

This book is written in a very simple and straightforward style. Do not let its surface simplicity lead you to underestimate its profound message.

I am a career Foreign Service Officer, a diplomat. When I boil my job down, it is all about relationships and curiosity. My task is often to convince others to do something or accept a point of view. I do my best work when I really care about finding out what the other person thinks and feels. My work is less effective when I try to convince them by showing why I am right. I think the difference is engagement versus messaging. When you engage you listen and accept they YOU may change your own point of view based on what you hear. If you are curious, you are engaging. This book makes a lot of sense to me. I am going to recommend that my junior officers read it. It will make us better diplomats.

From the visionary head of Google's innovative People Operations comes a groundbreaking inquiry into the philosophy of work-and a blueprint for attracting the most spectacular talent to your business and ensuring that they succeed.

"We spend more time working than doing anything else in life. It's not right that the experience of work should be so demotivating and dehumanizing." So says Laszlo Bock, head of People Operations at the company that transformed how the world interacts with knowledge.

This insight is the heart of WORK RULES!, a compelling and surprisingly playful manifesto that offers lessons including:

  • Take away managers' power over employees

  • Learn from your best employees-and your worst

  • Hire only people who are smarter than you are, no matter how long it takes to find them

  • Pay unfairly (it's more fair!)

  • Don't trust your gut: Use data to predict and shape the future

  • Default to open-be transparent and welcome feedback

  • If you're comfortable with the amount of freedom you've given your employees, you haven't gone far enough.

Drawing on the latest research in behavioral economics and a profound grasp of human psychology, WORK RULES! also provides teaching examples from a range of industries-including lauded companies that happen to be hideous places to work and little-known companies that achieve spectacular results by valuing and listening to their employees. Bock takes us inside one of history's most explosively successful businesses to reveal why Google is consistently rated one of the best places to work in the world, distilling 15 years of intensive worker R&D into principles that are easy to put into action, whether you're a team of one or a team of thousands.

WORK RULES! shows how to strike a balance between creativity and structure, leading to success you can measure in quality of life as well as market share. Read it to build a better company from within rather than from above; read it to reawaken your joy in what you do.

Suddenly, she’s questioning her deepest assumptions about sex, love, art and money, and she knows she has a decision to make: stay with her fabulously wealthy husband in a home full of maids, cooks and gardeners, or run off with the dreamy-but-penniless artist who ignites passions in her that she never knew existed. The Sex Whisperer is Book 1 in the Whisperer Trilogy, a hot and evocative new series from debut author Sadie Rabbit.

I love the backstory of how the main character's artistic representation of deceit is interwoven throughout the book. I applaud Ms. Rabbit's efforts in creating deceit within the main story as well and getting the reader thinking what "door of deceit" they would choose.

Dallen O’Neal wants revenge. Sloan Benton crushed his artistic spirit. He couldn’t sculpt anything for years after her cruelty, but his desire for her never waned. When she accepts the invitation to view his work, then his challenge to strip naked for art’s sake, he discovers Sloan’s submissive side. They share wild sex and explore Sloan’s penchant for spankings. Sloan captures his heart, but he thrusts her aside, intent on vengeance. Jealousy, sex, submission and a hint of exhibitionism mingle together, making Dallen’s need for Sloan… White-hot and hard.

This is a collection of four very erotic short stories written by five female authors. Each story stands alone and is quite the steamy romance. From an Italian love story about true love, to a wild imagination brought to life at an art exhibit, to a horny neighbor and voyeurism, to a revenge plot turned lust filled; all of these stories will turn the moss damp and make the trees stand tall. These tales are full of erotic imagery and hot passionate love making. This book is defiantly not your mother's typical romance book. However if your mother was a nymphomaniac, this collection of stories might be right up her alley!

About the Author

Hmm. I have no idea why people want to know what makes me... me, but here it goes: My favorite hobby is reading, and I am a complete romance snob.
If a story doesn't have romance, it isn't worth it. If there's hot sex, all the better.
