Our lives become busier with each passing day, and as technology escalates, so does our access to work, obligations, and stress. I am fairly new to adult coloring books but I have now acquired several. I really like this one because of the variety of the images. I can find something for whatever mood i am in and that is appropriate for whatever medium i want to color in, pencils , gel pens or markers. I have used Crayola , Artist's Loft (Michael's store brand) and CraZart color pencils, Bic Mark-it, Sharpie, Stabilio 88, and Staedtler Triplus markers, and a wide variety of gel pens including Jelly Roll, Target's Up brand, staples store brand and many others I'm not ever sure of the brand anymore. I ave attache some pages that I have completed and there is at least one from each section and done in each type of media that I have.

I usually color sitting on the couch with the book cover folded back and end up turning it in all directions depending on the image. Because the cover is nice and stiff, my coloring surface is pretty stable. The middle of the book is harder to bend the cover back but I still manage OK. It would be much easier if it had a spiral binding. The paper is reasonably thick compared to a few other books I have. For the most part I have seen little bleed through even from the Bics and Sharpies, but to be safe I keep a sheet of scrap paper between the coloring page and the next one. I have seen some complaints about the quality of the image reproduction and i have seen what they are talking about, but so far it hasn't been an issue with my ability to color the image

I like that the variety of images gives me some simple and easy to quickly finish for instant gratification and others that are more complex and take me several sessions to complete.

The honest words of Rupi Kaur leave you continuously wanting more as she writes with eloquence and poise. Her work will send you to past thoughts and realities you might not have known you had.

This book is, in my opinion, something everyone should read, regardless of gender. The author is female, and so of course it is written from a female perspective, but everyone has experienced love, loss, heartbreak and healing. We can all find something which speaks to us in her book.

I am not usually that big a fan of poetry reading, mostly because they tend to be angsty or exhaustively epic. I also find that most poetry I've run across (or wished to run over, hah) has used gimmicks like line breaks to cover up crappy writing and introduce a whiff of true creativity where none really exists.

wonderful collection of poems! So well written and really something anyone can relate to; it was very touching! There were a few poems in there that really resonated with me and made me tear up. She's very talented!

This book is absolutely beautiful. For any young woman who wants to heal after a break up, grow after a failure. Rupi Kaur gives you hope that you are not alone and you can make it. So inspirational! Every woman should read this, its better than I'd hoped, the author really speaks to you on a personal level. It's as if every word was written for you. This has quickly become one of my favorites.

The Rosie Project: A Novel

Read The Rosie Project: A Novel OnlineNow in paperback, the international bestselling romantic comedy “bursting with warmth, emotional depth, and humor,” (Entertainment Weekly) featuring the oddly charming, socially challenged genetics professor, Don, as he seeks true love.

The art of love is never a science: Meet Don Tillman, a brilliant yet socially inept professor of genetics, who’s decided it’s time he found a wife. In the orderly, evidence-based manner with which Don approaches all things, he designs the Wife Project to find his perfect partner: a sixteen-page, scientifically valid survey to filter out the drinkers, the smokers, the late arrivers.

Read The Rosie Project: A Novel book online now. You also can download other books, magazine and also comics. Get online The Rosie Project: A Novel today.

Rosie Jarman possesses all these qualities. Don easily disqualifies her as a candidate for The Wife Project (even if she is “quite intelligent for a barmaid”). But Don is intrigued by Rosie’s own quest to identify her biological father. When an unlikely relationship develops as they collaborate on The Father Project, Don is forced to confront the spontaneous whirlwind that is Rosie―and the realization that, despite your best scientific efforts, you don’t find love, it finds you.

Arrestingly endearing and entirely unconventional, Graeme Simsion’s distinctive debut “navigates the choppy waters of adult relationships, both romantic and platonic, with a fresh take (USA TODAY). “Filled with humor and plenty of heart, The Rosie Project is a delightful reminder that all of us, no matter how we’re wired, just want to fit in” (Chicago Tribune).

=======>> CLICK HERE TO READ BOOK ONLINE <<=======

Genetics professor Don Tillman’s ordered, predictable life is thrown into chaos when love enters the equation in this immensely enjoyable novel. Never good with social cues, Don explains his difficulty empathizing with others, which he forthrightly says is a defining symptom of the autism spectrum, as a result of his brain simply being wired differently. Diagnosis is not the issue here, as the reader is rooting for Don as he searches for ways to fit in. With his fortieth birthday approaching, he designs a questionnaire to find a compatible female life partner using his overriding devotion to logic. But he finds his quest competing with the request of a woman to discover the identity of her biological father. The protagonist is passingly similar to that of Haddon’s The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (2003), but Simsion’s first novel is not as dark, focusing instead on the humor and significance of what makes us human. Don is used to causing amusement or consternation in others, but as his self-awareness and understanding grow, so do his efforts to behave more appropriately. Determined and unintentionally sweet, Don embarks on an optimistic and redemptive journey. Funny, touching, and hard to put down, The Rosie Project is certain to entertain even as readers delve into deep themes. For a book about a logic-based quest for love, it has a lot of heart.

The Rosie Project is the first novel by Australian author and playwright, Graeme Simsion. Professor Don Tillman is unmarried, and a consideration of the statistics leads him to conclude he needs a wife. While Don's physical attributes and career should make him an attractive prospective husband, his social ineptitude has resulted in a track record of unsatisfactory dating experiences, the Apricot Ice Cream Disaster and the Pig Trotter Disaster being just two examples. He therefore decides to vet applicants for his Wife Project with a 16-page (double-sided) questionnaire, in the interests of efficiency. When Rosie Jarman sweeps into his life, Don quickly concludes that this smoking, swearing barmaid with punctuality problems is entirely unsuitable, yet, against all his rational instincts, he decides to offer his expertise in genetics in the search for her father. Soon his regimented, logical life is turned upside down: Don learns the danger inherent in judging a person by their occupation, and that not everything in life follows a formula.

Simsion has created a very funny novel which also has the reader thinking about emotion and logic, love and friendship, conventionality and non-conformists, and what it takes to modify one's behaviour. This is a fast-paced love story with an interesting twist. Simsion's characters have plenty of depth and the fact that none of them is perfect adds to their appeal. While Don may be wired differently (mentally assessing the age and BMI of everyone he meets, reacting to stress with a spreadsheet or a schedule), he has integrity, focus, enthusiasm and determination, and it is impossible not to feel empathy with him even while laughing at his missteps. And impossible not to shed a tear when he suspects he is incapable of love and therefore unacceptable. This novel is filled with laugh-out-loud moments: a madcap cocktail party, a dance fiasco and a novel escape from a bathroom, to name just a few. Don's highly embarrassing moment with an instruction book, a skeleton and the University Dean is utterly hilarious. The irony of Don delivering a lecture on Asperger's is quite delicious, and who could guess there would be so many inventive ways to obtain a DNA sample! This is a brilliant debut novel. It is no surprise to learn that it won the Victorian Premier's Literary Award for an unpublished manuscript in 2012, and that the rights have been sold to over 30 countries. I look forward to more from Graeme Simsion.

Strongly recommended

A very creative and important drama, with special , meaningful characters. I strongly recommend this reading. Definitely not your typical romance, but one that will last. I felt like I was reading a book written by Sheldon on The Big Bang Theory. That's what made it charming.

A People Magazine Pick * US Weekly “Must” Pick

Named “Best Book of the Summer” by Glamour * Good Housekeeping * USA TODAY * Cosmopolitan * PopSugar * Working Mother * Bustle * Goodreads

From the acclaimed author of Forever, Interrupted and After I Do comes a breathtaking new novel about a young woman whose fate hinges on the choice she makes after bumping into an old flame; in alternating chapters, we see two possible scenarios unfold—with stunningly different results.

At the age of twenty-nine, Hannah Martin still has no idea what she wants to do with her life. She has lived in six different cities and held countless meaningless jobs since graduating college. On the heels of leaving yet another city, Hannah moves back to her hometown of Los Angeles and takes up residence in her best friend Gabby’s guestroom. Shortly after getting back to town, Hannah goes out to a bar one night with Gabby and meets up with her high school boyfriend, Ethan.

Just after midnight, Gabby asks Hannah if she’s ready to go. A moment later, Ethan offers to give her a ride later if she wants to stay. Hannah hesitates. What happens if she leaves with Gabby? What happens if she leaves with Ethan?

In concurrent storylines, Hannah lives out the effects of each decision. Quickly, these parallel universes develop into radically different stories with large-scale consequences for Hannah, as well as the people around her. As the two alternate realities run their course, Maybe in Another Life raises questions about fate and true love: Is anything meant to be? How much in our life is determined by chance? And perhaps, most compellingly: Is there such a thing as a soul mate?

=======>> CLICK HERE TO READ BOOK ONLINE <<=======

Hannah believes there is. And, in both worlds, she believes she’s found him.

The concurrent storyline concept is what piqued my curiosity with Maybe in Another Life. I was curious to see how, or if, an author could essentially tell two different stories about the same characters within one book. Taylor Jenkins Reid DID IT and did it incredibly well! In the alternating chapters we see the consequences of Hannah’s decision to stay with Ethan, and the consequences of her decision to go home with Gabby. The good, the bad, the happy, the make-me-cry-and-make-my-nose-run consequences. Each choice sets off a VASTLY different chain of events for Hannah and the rest of the characters and I loved watching each and every single character face their respective challenges, past mistakes, and uncertain futures with such raw, realistic human emotion.

This book. THIS BOOK. I totally got sucked in and read it in a day. That doesn’t happen for me much anymore. Clearly I can’t go into too much detail as this can be a spoilerly book so keep that in mind.

We have Hannah. She is kind of an aimless wanderer. She has moved ton, doesn’t have a set career path and just ended an affair with a married man. No better time to head home and reassess life than now. Her home is in LA with her best friend Gabby and her husband since her family moved to London back when Hannah was in high school. They have a welcome home night out with old friends and this is where our story can take two paths. Does Hannah stay longer with her old flame Ethan or head home early with Gabby and her husband? No need to guess because we get to see both scenarios play out.

Maria Sanchez, the hardworking daughter of Mexican immigrants, is the picture of conventional success. With a degree from Duke Law School and a job at a prestigious firm in Wilmington, she is a dark-haired beauty with a seemingly flawless professional track record. And yet Maria has a traumatic history of her own, one that compelled her to return to her hometown and left her questioning so much of what she once believed.

A chance encounter on a rain-swept road will alter the course of both Colin and Maria's lives, challenging deeply held assumptions about each other and ultimately, themselves. As love unexpectedly takes hold between them, they dare to envision what a future together could possibly look like . . . until menacing reminders of events in Maria's past begin to surface.

=======>> CLICK HERE TO READ BOOK ONLINE <<=======

As a series of threatening incidents wreaks chaos in Maria's life, Maria and Colin will be tested in increasingly terrifying ways. Will demons from their past destroy the tenuous relationship they've begun to build, or will their love protect them, even in the darkest hour?

Rich in emotion and fueled with suspense, SEE ME reminds us that love is sometimes forged in the crises that threaten to shatter us . . . and that those who see us for who we truly are may not always be the ones easiest to recognize.

Honestly, the book is exactly what you think it’s going to be, and, it’s still good. It’s actually, really good, with a high readability and passes the time quickly.

I will be upfront; I’ve never seen a Nicholas Sparks movie, nor read a Nicholas Sparks book before; I’ve been doing my best to read a variety of books this year and changed genres. This was a pleasant read, quick, and moved fairly fast. I’m not much of a romance type of person, but even as someone who’s not into guys, the main protagonist Colin, was kind of dreamy. No, really, he actually was really dreamy. As a bad boy, MMA fighter, turned good, I thought that the character was a bit over played out in the initial chapters, but as it progressed, I found that he maintained likability and still kept my attention.

Then a thief named Jack climbs into her room to steal one of her enchanted roses. He's the first person Rapunzel's ever met who isn't completely charmed by her (well, the first person she's met at all, really), and he is infuriating-- especially when he hints that Witch isn't telling her the whole truth. Driven by anger at Jack and her own nameless fears, Rapunzel descends to the ground for the first time, and finds a world filled with more peril than Witch promised and more beauty, wonder, and adventure than she could have dreamed.

This was a whole new take on the story of Rapunzel. As someone who enjoys reading fairy tales, and especially renditions different than the original, this was a fun and engaging story that will let you see Rapunzel and her feelings about the Witch. Rapunzel is definitely a bit conflicted when it comes to the Witch as you see in this book seeing that she was what she thought of as her mother as well as her captor.

The author of this book truly captures some great adventure and action in this story but combines this with a light wit and humor that makes the story fun and easy to read. My daughter and I read this together and we both found that we were very interested to see what would happen never to Rapunzel and the other characters that we met throughout the book.

This invigorating story is perfect for fans of the movie Tangled, readers of fairy tales, and anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure. As one of my favorite reads ever, I can’t wait to flip through these pages again and again, soaking up the magic of Rapunzel and Jack’s journey. Grounded has addicted me to the world of Tyme, and I wish all the speed of the fairies for the next book to come along.

The Cinder Spires: the Aeronaut's Windlass

Read The Cinder Spires: the Aeronaut's Windlass OnlineJim Butcher, the #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Dresden Files and the Codex Alera novels, conjures up a new series set in a fantastic world of noble families, steam-powered technology, and magic-wielding warriors

Since time immemorial, the Spires have sheltered humanity, towering for miles over the mist-shrouded surface of the world. Within their halls, aristocratic houses have ruled for generations, developing scientific marvels, fostering trade alliances, and building fleets of airships to keep the peace.

Captain Grimm commands the merchant ship, Predator. Fiercely loyal to Spire Albion, he has taken their side in the cold war with Spire Aurora, disrupting the enemy’s shipping lines by attacking their cargo vessels. But when the Predator is severely damaged in combat, leaving captain and crew grounded, Grimm is offered a proposition from the Spirearch of Albion—to join a team of agents on a vital mission in exchange for fully restoring Predator to its fighting glory.

And even as Grimm undertakes this dangerous task, he will learn that the conflict between the Spires is merely a premonition of things to come. Humanity’s ancient enemy, silent for more than ten thousand years, has begun to stir once more. And death will follow in its wake.

This is Jim Butcher at his best, drawing a fully realized, richly detailed, and downright fun literary world where fearless aeronauts ride the aether, brilliant wizards struggle with doorknobs, and a thirty-pound feline warrior keeps a pet human named Little Mouse. It’s steampunk meets magic with a dose of sci-fi for seasoning. Buy it and read it. You’ll be glad you did.

The Aeronaut's Windlass by Jim Butcher is the first book in the author’s new series, The Cinder Spires. In it, Butcher has created a superbly imagined epic steampunk world in the clouds with sentient cats that talk, airships, pirates, smugglers, navies and the clash of two female protagonists, who both hailed from a royal family. There’s an eclectic cast of characters- adorable, crafty and repulsive: Captain Grimm, Gwen, Benedict, Bridget, Folly, Ferus, Ransom, Ciriaco, Journeyman, Kettle, Rowl and many more.

I absolutely adore Jim Butcher's ability to tell you a story so intriguing, you're hooked after chapter one! The Aeronaut's Windlass is perfectly stunning. There was no, "give it a few chapters, it starts out slow". You are immediately engaged and intrigued about these characters and what they will face next. The banter is spot on and I found myself damn near high lighting whole chapters! You will literally laugh out loud while you read this. Other parts will make you sit up with "oh...it is SO ON right now!". This book is perfect, especially if you loved his Codex Alera series (which is the best epic fantasy series ever, if you haven't read it, DO IT). Eagerly anticipating the next one!

A martial arts enthusiast whose résumé includes a long list of skills rendered obsolete at least two hundred years ago, the #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Dresden Files, Jim Butcher, turned to writing as a career because anything else probably would have driven him insane. One Year After: A Novel

New York Times bestselling author William R. Forstchen brings a sequel to his hit novel One Second After. Months before publication, One Second After was cited on the floor of Congress as a book all Americans should read, a book discussed in the corridors of the Pentagon as a truly realistic look at the dangers of EMPs. An EMP is a weapon with the power to destroy the entire United States in a single act of terrorism, in a single second; indeed, it is a weapon that the Wall Street Journal warns could shatter America. One Second After was a dire warning of what might be our future...and our end. Now, One Year After returns to the small town of Black Mountain, and the man who struggled so hard to rebuild it in the wake of devastation-John Matherson. It is a thrilling follow-up and should delight fans in every way.

William Forstchen's novel, Pillar to the Sky tells the story of a world sinking into apocalypse, which can only be saved by a radical and terrifying experiment. This is a fascinating, fiercely passionate, well-honed thriller full of innovative insights, suspense and cutting edge science. I highly recommend it.

Since I read "One Second After", I've been hoping for a sequel. I really wanted to find out how the characters fared as time went by, as well as the evolution of the local politics. It was exciting to be taken back to Black Mountain, NC to continue the adventure. As usual, Forstchen kept me riveted to the book and introduces new and interesting characters. Old enemies become new friends. New conflicts. New battles. I enjoyed the strife between our heroes and the "Big City" of Ashville. The locals are faced with possible anarchy or fascist rule. Stcik together or perish fighting among themselves.

=====>> CLICK HERE TO READ BOOK ONLINE <<=====

Overall, this book was an enjoyable experience. I will mention that, inevitably, "One Year After" does not have the same level of impact on current society as "One Second After". The naration of the actual effects of an EMP attack on modern day North Carolina was very powerful. But the continuation of the story allows us to follow characters that we already know and love. Or hate. Forstchen has a gift for bringing characters to life and creating realistic interpersonal adversities. His battle scenes always keep me on the edge of my seat. I always feel like I'm part of his stories. If you haven't read "One Second After" yet, by all means do. If you have then you will want to follow up with "One Year After".

This novel is also full of well-developed, real persons who struggle with their own weaknesses as they strive to rebuild their corner of the world. But it also goes much deeper than many other post-apocalyptic action novels. John's analysis of the progress on the electrical generation and the telephone switchboard at the end are very perceptive. Similarly, the actions of John and the town to try to save the wounded survivors that they were just fighting demonstrated a real depth of character, which contrasted sharply with the shallow, selfish character of the district administrator.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms (A Song of Ice and Fire)

Read A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms (A Song of Ice and Fire) Book OnlineTaking place nearly a century before the events of A Game of Thrones, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms compiles the first three official prequel novellas to George R. R. Martin’s ongoing masterwork, A Song of Ice and Fire. These never-before-collected adventures recount an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living consciousness.

Before Tyrion Lannister and Podrick Payne, there was Dunk and Egg. A young, naïve but ultimately courageous hedge knight, Ser Duncan the Tall towers above his rivals—in stature if not experience. Tagging along is his diminutive squire, a boy called Egg—whose true name (hidden from all he and Dunk encounter) is Aegon Targaryen. Though more improbable heroes may not be found in all of Westeros, great destinies lay ahead for these two . . . as do powerful foes, royal intrigue, and outrageous exploits.

Featuring more than 160 all-new illustrations by Gary Gianni, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is a must-have collection that proves chivalry isn’t dead—yet.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms by George R.R. Martin is not an entirely new offering. It is a compilation of three earlier novellas - The Hedge Knight (1998), The Sworn Sword (2003) and The Mystery Knight (2010) which takes the readers back a hundred years into the thick of intrigue, drama and action of the Seven Kingdoms. Fans of George R.R. Martin will really enjoy how the author tells the stories because you feel like you're there right in the middle of the action living what is happening. These prequels are three stories that revolve around two very interesting characters: Dunk and Egg. While Dunk is a knight with a lot of attitude yet just and benevolent, Egg is someone you’ll love with a secret that must be kept a secret at all cost but I will not spoil the fun by spilling all the beans.

This is a compilation of the first three official prequel novellas to George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire, and take place almost one century before Game of Thrones. Note the material is not really new: this compiles the three novellas "The Hedge Knight" (Legends), "The Sworn Sword" (Legends II) and "The Mystery Knight" (Warriors). For those who follow the series, these novellas are set in the time when the Targaryens still hold the Iron Throne. A great collection of all three stories, this compilation also adds over 140 pieces of original artwork which will surely be a hit for fans of Martin's written works.

Though not as anticipated as the Song of Ice and Fire next installment, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is a nice look into the history of Targaryen rule. The book follow the friendship of "Dunk," Ser Duncan the Tall (future Lord Commander of the Kingsguard), and "Egg," Aegon V (future king of the Seven Kingdoms) (this is no secret to the reader, but it is to those they encounter). The story is similar to the knight-squire relationships found in Song of Ice and Fire (ie Brienne and Podrick) and reads similar to the Song of Ice and Fire series. The fantastic tale gives a deeper insight into the Seven kingdoms and the motivations for the people who are a part of them. Well written and with numerous new original illustrations, it is a great read.

Any Martin fan who has not already read the novellas will certainly enjoy it, and the artwork alone is fantastic. It is an in-depth genealogical journey and character study, interwoven in classic Martin style. Other than the illustrations, it is not new, but for those new to this story line and for fans of original artwork related to the overall series, will enjoy A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.

George R.R. Martin sold his first story in 1971 and has been writing professionally since then. He spent ten years in Hollywood as a writer-producer, working on The Twilight Zone, Beauty and the Beast, and various feature films and television pilots that were never made. In the mid '90s he returned to prose, his first love, and began work on his epic fantasy series, A Song of Ice and Fire. He has been in the Seven Kingdoms ever since. Everything a player needs to create heroic characters for the world’s greatest roleplaying game

The Player’s Handbook® is the essential reference for every Dungeons & Dragons® roleplayer. It contains rules for character creation and advancement, backgrounds and skills, exploration and combat, equipment, spells, and much more.

Use this book to create exciting characters from among the most iconic D&D® races and classes.

Dungeons & Dragons immerses you in a world of adventure. Explore ancient ruins and deadly dungeons. Battle monsters while searching for legendary treasures. Gain experience and power as you trek across uncharted lands with your companions.

I'm sold. Not only is it meaty and high quality, but WotC did a terrific job of taking traditional D&D and modernizing it in numerous ways without changing it beyond recognition. It's very quintessentially old school D&D for the 21st century. Even the art is spot on, IMO.

I'm a huge fan of the renovated Vancian casting, the powerful feats, and the myriad class options (I can play a semi-magical Fighter without muticlassing!). New rules are typically either flavorful additions (like Inspiration or various class-unique mechanics), or are very elegant solutions to problems that persisted throughout earlier editions (like Advantage/Disadvantage). The numeric scaling is on a shallower curve than both 3rd and 4th, which I love because it's more 'realistic' and also more flexible with regard to encounter balance. I also like how they divorced magic items from the core system. Magical equipment was so heavily structured into 4e's core system that magic items and gearing became trite and uninteresting, the opposite feeling it is supposed to elicit.

=====>> CLICK HERE TO READ BOOK ONLINE <<=====

I am going to try to not duplicate the information provided in most of the other 5 star reviews because I agree with the vast majority of them. I am an oldster, have played every edition of D&D there has been, most of them being released when I was of legal drinking age, and IMO this is the best edition ever. I have not been this excited about a version of D&D since 2nd edition was released. It appears to me to have taken all the best, from a game design point of view, and most popular aspects of earlier editions and put them in one book. Another way to think of it is that this edition is the most true to the game principles set forth in the earlier editions, especially AD&D 1st and 2nd editions, while at the same time carrying the more modern and popular principles from 3.5 and even the much maligned 4.0.

Awesome tool for anyone looking to play a 5E D&D campaign. Learn how to Create your character, how to personalize it to your desires. This book will also give you the "rules" (what your character is able to do, and how to do it) as well as listings of weapons, armor, spells and other things you as a player will need.

This book is the only one (of the three PHP, DMG & MM) that I would recommend for everyone. This is a book for DM's and Players alike & will be constantly referenced.

The book itself is very well made and has fantastic artwork.
