Grey: Fifty Shades of Grey as Told by Christian Review

Let me start off first by saying I looked forward to this book once it was announced. I am giving it only 4.5 stars because I was disappointed that it didn't cover all the books. I have read some of the reviews posted and while I am not bashing anyone's opinion I would simply like to point out some facts.
1. This is a retelling of the original story but from Christians POV--therefore how can the author make it be different or original
2. Whereas I did find Christian to be immature and childish in his actions and thoughts those of us who read the original series new this already. His growth didn't come around until after the second book started. Even Dr. Flynn tells Ana that in a lot of ways emotionally Christian is still a child so this is not news.
3. I do believe this book helped to better understand Christian I am not altogether certain it was necessary as the series was already a huge success but just as I am sure with other readers the times I really wanted to know what he was thinking came in book two and three.
For instance when he and Ana marreid, what was on his mind as he and Ros made their way home after Charlie Tango crashed, and I really want into his head the night he confronted Elena at his mother's home.
4. As far as the movie I watched it and believed it to have been as true to the book as was possible for a decent rating. Although I honestly believe that there is NO ONE that could have been picked to play the part of Christian that would have been accepted by all the fans of this series. Each woman as we read FSOG had a mental picture of Christian and everyone's picture would have varied in some way

The 22-Day Revolution: The Plant-Based Program That Will Transform Your Body, Reset Your Habits, and Change Your Life Review

It is so hard to make the transition from a traditional diet to plant based diet, but this book provides a weekly shopping list and easy to follow menus. The program does take more prep time, however running to pick up fast food or going to lunch also takes time. Time preparing the plant based meal options is time well spent. I'm not a morning person, however within a day of making the change, I was able to get up an hour and a half earlier to add exercise to my morning routine. The uncomfortableness in my stomach disappeared and it feels good to be a little hungry and look forward to the next meal instead of eating mindlessly.

Marco is a mastermind. This book is amazing. I believe going plant-based had a huge effect on my weight loss experience. I grew up my whole life with animal products and processed foods that’s what I was accustomed to. I thought I had nothing to lose by trying something new for 22 days, not knowing that those 22 days could shift my life into a new direction. I was your typical yoyo dieter, what that small hope inside that one day I would make a change that would last. Today, I am just committed to a healthy lifestyle and not focused on a fad diet. The Official SAT Study Guide Second Edition Review

I bought a used book through Amazon and I'm not disappointed. Except for a couple of smudges on the edges, you can't even tell that this book has been used.

The SAT is important for high school seniors. The score can determine which schools the student can enter. I bought this study guide for my granddaughter as she is preparing for the test. One of the outstanding features of this weighty, thousand page study guide is the test feature. There are ten practice tests and they include correct answers and difficulty level.

As a project management instructor and course developer at a state university, a project management keynote speaker, and someone who has been training project managers for nearly two decades, I highly recommend this book. I have also helped hundreds to pass their PMP exams (including training PMI employees) and although some folks claim they passed without this, I firmly believe that the PMBOK is a must-have.

I have owned every edition of the PMBOK and I can tell you that it's gotten better with age. Let's face it, the material isn't the most exciting but at least it's much more readable than ever. Processes are more refined (some may remember core vs. facilitating processes in older versions) and are titled more consistently (used to have some start with verbs and others with nouns), descriptions of inputs/tools & techniques/outputs are clearer, and illustrations are less confusing. That said, the book still only covers the "whats".

A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge: PMBOK(R) Guide Review

Reading this book and being a member of PMI improved my perspective on the project management and portfolio management work experience on my resume. Project Management work can lack steady employment. Is it worth it to invest time and money in PMI and the PMBOK, let alone the cost of credentialing exams? I have not yet gotten to the point of affording the cost of exams which run over $200 each. Even now, national and local membership renewal is about $150. One thing I do not like about the book is that I cannot tell if Configuration belongs in the Integration Management Chapter or the Scope Chapter. Configuration Identification, Configuration Control, Configuration Status Accounting, and Configuration Verification and Audit appear on pages 96-97 in the Integration Management chapter but Configuration Management Plan appears on page 138 in the Scope Management chapter.

I will admit to having a tortured relationship with stuff. I grew up in a cluttered house and married the King of Clutter (he's the type of person who'll open a credit card bill, pay it online, and then just leave the empty envelope, inserts, and bill itself randomly strewn on whatever surface happens to be nearby). I don't like the disorder of clutter, but dealing with it is such a soul-sucking experience that I haven't gotten very far. Many days I semi-wish the whole place would burn down and save me from having to deal with it.

The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing Review

I rarely write reviews, but this book truly sparked something in me that I feel compelled to share. The basic concept is to only surround yourself with things that spark joy. Decide what you want to keep, not necessarily what you want to throw away. I have bought other organization or purging books in hopes of getting my cluttered home in order. This book was the only one that I read all the way through and actually put into practice. The anthropomorphism in this book spoke to me for some reason. While I don't believe socks are alive, her concept of freeing socks in their tight, little bundles and letting them rest because they work hard for you makes perfect sense to me. In other words, don't stretch out your socks because you want them to last as long as possible. Care for your items as if they were "real" and not only will your items last longer, but you will feel better having done so. The book really is about being happier. Cleaning out your clutter and the process she describes is truly life changing in ways I cannot explain. I am about 2 weeks into my de cluttering and I am much happier in my home. I have donated and discarded over 6 large bags of items. While I usually feel guilt over letting objects go, her process and explanations have freed me of that. She has wonderful folding and storage techniques as well. My children and husband love the work I have done thus far and it is causing them to start the process on their items. An unexpected surprise for me (and total joy to my husband) is my newfound frugality while shopping. I used to be a borderline shopaholic. But now, I truly just buy things I want around me. I think differently as I shop. I know it's a change that will last. It's strange but true. Marie Kondo is not only an expert on the art of de cluttering, but she is also an expert on human behavior and how to change it. I am a believer in her methods, and fan. She's amazing. The book is well worth it.

Oh, The Places You'll Go! Review

As I embark on yet ANOTHER new chapter of my life, I find I am constantly questioning my every move, encountering new crossroads and rebuilding my somewhat depleting self-belief. Last night my best friend Shannon called me on the phone asking if she could read me a bedtime story. The best thing I have read on Elon Musk so far (and from what I understand, the only one that he has participated in himself). Vance is an excellent writer, and you may or may not be familiar with him from Bloomberg Business and other high profile writings. I loved the insight into Musk and how he operates, and you get a very broad and complete picture of Musk as a driven visionary that is absolutely set on delivering some of the most aspirational goals of any human in history. You also get some great insight into the overall ecosystem around Musk - his companies (SpaceX and Tesla primarily), relationships with other companies and gov entities, as well as the important people around him. Many bios give you a timeline of the person, but little insight into the broader context and I appreciated that in this book.

Ashlee Vance is an award winning feature writer for Bloomberg Businessweek magazine. Previously, he worked for The New York Times and The Economist.
Vance was born in South Africa, grew up in Texas and attended Pomona College. He has spent more than a decade covering the technology industry from San Francisco and is a noted Silicon Valley historian.

McCullough has written a serious and riveting review of the lives of Wilbur and Orville. His writing style is concise, thorough, and unpretentious. We place adult coloring books in the waiting room of the hospital area in which I work. We've just added this one to our library and I'm a huge fan of the designs. Patients and their families can color in the books while waiting and easily rip out the pages if they want to take their artwork home with them, or they can leave it for other people to admire or add to. We've occasionally get people mentioning how much they enjoyed using the books but what really speaks for itself is how quickly they get completely used up!

This is an incredible book with fantastic flowing artwork. My favorite illustrations are the 15 delicate doily type illustrations and out of 46 illustrations I only noticed 3 that I would not want to personally color .

Bring out your imagination, arouse your senses and creativity, and as you become engaged in the pleasurable, soothing activity of Coloring, it calms you and instantaneously starts reducing your stress level.

Adult Coloring Book: Stress Relieving Patterns Book Review

This book is a wonderful addition to your coloring library; a perfect gift school aged children, college students, or adults who enjoy coloring, and a much easier way to reduce stress than going to the gym.

1. 46 illustrations printed one per page (the back of each page is blank) on bright white, medium weight paper and the page numbers are listed on the back of the page not on the front where the picture is.


2. Illustrations include 15 delicate, circular doily type drawings(my favorites) Most of the rest are bordered full page designs from simple geometric shapes with very little detail to complicated very detailed geometric shape designs. There are a few miscellaneous sprinkled through the book l did see one paisley design.


3. The complexity and details vary with the pictures, some you will need sharpened colored pencils or Gel pens for and others crayons or wide markers would work. Place a piece of scrap paper under the page you are coloring in case your pens or markers bleed through the page. My Fiskars Gel Pens did not .
